Ryan “RyCP” Petrey

Bio:
My name is Ryan and I  am many things.

I am a self-taught graphic artist, who has been working with Photoshop since around 2001.  I currently am furthering my knowledge and education in  graphic arts, learning more about photoshop and all it has to offer in graphic arts.  I have done a lot  of   commission work  for a lot of Twitch users for streaming overlays and  promotional graphics.

I am married  to my lovely wife; Emily   and I have 2 dogs (Artie & Penny) and are looking forward to starting our own family in the near future.

I also am  diagnosed with Depression and  Anxiety Disorders.  I was  admitted into  an out-patient program in November 2016. Where I   learned  many things about my afflictions as well as  Mental Illnesses overall.  One of the most important things that I learned, was there is no "cure" for mental illnesses and depression, only diligent  monitoring    and  treatment with prescribed medicines. Learning to understand your body and moods as it warns you as you   watch for signs to  head off   the issues is a learning  process, but effective. I've learned that #YOUARENOTALONE in  this world, and many people  suffer from un-diagnosed  Depression & Anxiety.

I am also a casual streamer on Twitch, where you can find me streaming  Creative (Graphic arts, drawing and Crafting) as well as  some IRL and game streams.

I am also a   casual gamer.

A bit about my gaming experience;   over the years I have  played a variety of games on various platforms and systems. My first ‘real’ experience of Blizzard gaming came from the interactive experience of WarCraft 2: Tides of Darkness; which lead to StarCraft & StarCraft: Broodwar. Years later, my love for the WarCraft universe was rekindled with WarCraft 3 and the amazing story that was that RTS. I then moved into the realm of Diablo 2 & Diablo 2: Lord of Darkness, to which I played for a few years.

World of WarCraft became public in 2004, I was still actively playing Diablo 2 and a good friend attempted to get me to play for World of WarCraft, to which I declined to partake in, due to it costing $15 a month in subscription fees. Eventually I caved in, in 2006 and joined the massive universe known as WoW.

My first toon ever was a Dwarf hunter(Farbanti), earning me the community nick name of “Banti”. Coming in at the end of the Vanilla, it wasn’t long until the first expansion “The Burning Crusade” was to be released. I played / main’d hunter for about half of TBC, then chose to try healing on a Restoration Druid (Rgrtehshrubr), to which I loved and ran with without looking back. I main’d Restoration Druid from Mid-TBC until the release of Mists of Pandaria. Where-in the release of the Pandaren race and Monk Mistweaving Class really seemed interesting and felt as if it were calling my name. So I stepped away from the comfortable life of the Restoration Druid and took up the mantle of the the Pandaren Mistweaver Monk. Since then, I have been a dedicated Pandaren MW monk through the good and bad roller coaster of the class/spec. I still currently main MW Monk and do not foresee that changing anytime soon, for any reason.

 =PvP Experience=

  • World of WarCraft

    • Rated BG: 2.1k

    • Arena: 1.9k

  • Heroes of the Storm

    • Hero League: Mid-Low 40’s

  • Overwatch

    • Competeive: Rank 44 (Season 1)

  • Hearthstone

    • Wild: Rank 13

    • Standard: Rank 15

In World of WarCraft, I am a 2.1k rated BG player and a 1.9k rated Arena player on a MW monk, I do have experience in serious PvP situations (Like Rated Battlegrounds & Arena). I have been playing Arena’s since Burning Crusade, with a BM Hunter, Resto Druid, Balance Druid, Arms Warrior and MW Monk. I feel that I’m much stronger healing, than I am at a DPS/Carry role.

In Heroes of the Storm, I am decent at a few Heroes in competitive PvP; Tyrael, Chen Storm Stout, Sylvanas, Li Li, Kharazim, Tracer, Kael’thas (pre-nerf), Lt. Morales. I enjoy Auriel’s game play, but have never played seriously.

In Overwatch, I am on most days a decent all-around player and can play really what ever is needed. Yet I lean toward healing or tanking, seemingly roles others don’t want to play. I play well with Reinhardt, Lucio, Ana, Reaper, Pharah, Junk Rat, Road Hog and Winston. I’m decent with most all heroes though, despite Genji. I’m not quite fast enough to hit his ceiling of skill cap with him.

In Hearthstone, I am an alright player. Very casual. I tend to lean toward playing Mage and Shaman decks, with the occasional Warrior, Paladin or whatever meta seems the most fun at the time. I enjoy playing control decks to control the board and fates of games. Every now and again, Murloc and Aggro decks are enjoyable to play, although very hit-and-miss. I enjoy crafting “Lore” decks and playing with them, although most of those are garbage, the thought of them is quite nice though.

I am also a lover and and HUGE fan of the WarCraft Universe Lore. I find all of the story lines and information so wonderful and intriguing, it flows like a story river through the hills and valleys of the WarCraft Universe. From old game lore to Lore Podcasts, Audio books, Novels and Books;as well as all the in-game Lore content as you play. I also am a fan of the Lore-side of the Overwatch Universe, I can’t seem to get enough of it.

I casually play World of WarCraft, Overwatch, Heroes of the Storm and Hearthstone. I dabble in StarCraft and Diablo, never getting overly-serious into them. I for the first time am beginning to spread my wings from Blizzard Entertainment barnyard, To play some stream-friendly games, like Jackbox and viewer playable games. I also only play PC, no consoles.
